For doctors, you both understand science quite well! That's not very common in your profession. Excellent write up and critique of why ARR and population/region being studied matters!

great article doc...as someone who early on in the scamdemic looked at the mask studies that showed insignificant to no benefit to masking(except to the mask producers/sellers), I feel this issue has been beat to death but just won't die...anyone can claim anything today without evidence and if there is enough money to support the issue/cause then that's what is pushed

Thank you once again for the great article. Glad you haven’t moved away (yet). It is so interesting to see how many people are still masked with with the dropped mandates. Fear and lack of common sense still seem to be driving the narrative. Grateful for some real facts!

Thank you for this. We gather the receipts to show when they try to bring these destructive policies back in the near future.

Just what we needed! You are really helping the lay person understand what real science is telling us about masks. I love the historical examples too. I've been waiting for your next article, and it was worth the wait. You are doing a great public service. I encourage everyone to share this article and the rest of the masking series with as many people as possible. If we don't educate the public on this now, we will doom ourselves to years of mask mandates, and worse. Many thanks.

For an amateur (former pharmacy tech) study-reader, I understand what I read fairly well...and can usually tell when something is over my head.

What I lack is relevant vocabulary.

This article really helps in that regard. Interestingly, it was my GP who explained meta-analyses, as I was explaining to him the provenence if some info I was relaying.

Thank you so much

Thanks for reading, and the kind comment. Someone argued with me that meta-analyses "prove" that masks "work". It is a perfect example of "Garbage in, garbage out". If one summarizes biased studies, the sum of all them is still biased and wrong.

Bravo for this well written enlightening article! Although, I doubt any government shill will listen to it. We are at war for our freedom, until more people understand this and stand up to it, it is not going to change

Excellent article! Can you venture into how masks affect children and their development? We know that the air behind a cloth mask becomes toxic within seconds (OH&S reference) and children are breathing that toxicity in for much longer periods at a time; does lack of oxygen or breathing in toxic air affect brain development in children?

Great question. The next article in the mask series is about the data on mask mandates. The article after that is on the harms of masks, and will include the issues you mention. Briefly, I think there is no question they affect language acquisition and speech development. They don't affect oxygen levels but rather CO2 levels, which is problematic. Clearly masks get dirty and gross fairly quickly. Whether or not that has negative effects is hard to say. Stay tuned...
