Let's hear it for "The REAL Anthony Fauci". What an eye opener!
RFK Jr. did the WORLD a HUGE FAVOR for revealing that creep. Everybody should read it, and our political "leaders" most of all.
No matter Fauci's present power, I think this book reveals his real competency, which are the sales of pharmaceuticals by the agencies that are purportedly protecting us from pharmaceutical malpractice!
It shows NOTHING of his supposed competence in "Public Health"
What a INDICTMENT of "Public Health" and our "system" of bureaucracy that enabled this guy's rise to power !!!
I am curious if you have any speculation as to why the memo about adverse events to watch for and how to report them never came? Would you have any idea what exactly to query through a FOIPOP request?
Here is my guess (although you would have to ask the people in public health to get the answer directly from the source). I think the minute the drug was "approved" for use it was considered safe. We have never had a massive public phase 3 drug trial before, so I don't think it even occurred to the powers-that-be to set up proper surveillance and reporting mechanisms. As I've written before, docs had a massive bias towards vaccinating everyone right from the get-go, and a bias towards writing off any health events that happened after the vaccine as "coincidence". I think we all wanted the vaccines to be as great as advertised, and to get this lousy pandemic over with and behind us. So anything that in any way represented a possible barrier to rapid vaccination of the entire population, or even scrutiny of adverse effects, was (at least subconsciously) looked upon very negatively. FOIPOP might be interesting, but my guess is it would turn up nothing, as I think this is an error of omission more likely than it is an error of commission.
That's a pretty long reply to say not much of anything! :-) Thanks for the question, sorry I couldn't answer it definitively.
Thank you. The impressions are important even if they cannot be definitive. I have heard second hand of Doctors not having the time, energy, or inclination to second guess the authorities (doubly disturbing when one realizes that may not be a new thing). So far, given the recent statements from Walensky and the misapprehensions of some of the Justices of the US supreme court, it seems the ignorance reaches very high up indeed. It is hard to fathom, though, how Doctors can be oblivious to their fellows being hounded out of their positions and their profession.
One would expect there to be, at least, some discussion of the defensibility of an action before firing staff or imposing costly lockdowns. Perhaps responsibility is so diffused now that no one sees a need.
As to your question, although I cannot remember exactly where I had read it, it appears that the normal assumption of adverse effects were turned on their heads by the assumption that unless huge clues were present, it was NOT the vaccine's fault. Like the French system of justice, where you are presumed guilty (the precautionary principal) SOMEBODY changed that system to the reverse!
Sort of like that Nazi Sergent in "Hogan's hero's", where he sees "Nothing, I see NOTHING!!" THIS is the level of intellectual debate that replaced the precautionary principal.
Hello Chris, enjoyed listening to your interview. Our family were considering relocating to Nova Scotia but decided against it. I recall that you were considering leaving. Can you share anything more on your reasons and which other provinces you think may be more worthwhile? Thank you.
Hi David. I wouldn't want to discourage someone from coming here, as it is a beautiful place with a lot of great people. But there are some downsides. We have the highest tax rates in Canada, not only provincial taxes but municipal. We have a property tax cap system which means that someone who is in their house a long time can pay a far lower rate than you will as a new arrival. You could end up next door to someone in an identical house, getting identical services, and they could be paying 1/3 of the property tax that you do. I know a number of people who are paying up towards 10K per year in municipal taxes. NS has the most top-heavy civil service in the country, which is what you are paying top tax rates for. This creates a very red-tape laden environment for business. For instance, our WCB rates are either the highest or 2nd-highest in the country (which is essentially an extra tax). We are very "compliant" with public health measures - there is a lot of public support and praise for lockdown here more than in other provinces. That can be seen as a positive or negative depending on your point of view. Our state of emergency is still in place, as are mask mandates. The last thing negative here that I think is worth mentioning is the weather. Spring is very cold and late, particularly in Cape Breton. It's a notable change for those coming from areas where they are used to seeing trees fully leafed out by May. All that said, which provinces are better? Not sure. But I would consider any that have lower taxes and place more value on personal liberty and freedom of speech. Slim pickings in Canada, but I do think a few provinces are marginally better in this regard.

Politics is challenging, because beliefs are usually linked together in groups. I like that RFK breaks the mold and doesn't believe A because it goes with B. Wrong or right, he doesn't get captured by his audience, which is a tough thing to fight against.
That's a good thought. I'm willing to ally myself with almost anyone at this point, if they are willing to stand up for civil liberties (all of them) and has any kind of a benevolent view of the US. I think that I could agree with a lot of the left, at least to some degree, on some matters. It's a matter of emphasis.
And I don't think the FBI is on anybodies side, except it's own.
He hasn’t broken any mold, if anything he has played a part in what is happening now. Climate change narrative has been ongoing for decades and is the temp plate for what is happening now, any scientist speaking out against the climate narrative are dealt with swiftly in exactly the same fashion as anyone speaking out against the covid narrative. To
me that’s not someone that has
strong values and principles that he stands by, to me that is someone not very grounded.
Take a look at his bio, I mean Geezus is there anything he isn’t an authority on or hasn’t written a book about? He strikes me as a jack of all trades but master of non.
I still like to give credit where credit is due. People can be right about one thing and wrong about another. I think that's true for all of us, including myself I'm sure.
I'm a conservative. Normally, I'd agree, since I believe much 'environmentalism' is at best, overblown.
However, that is not a reason to not read this book. There are as many footnotes as text in the book. The book, IMO, cannot be refuted unless you refute all the documentation that helped comprise the book.
It was an eye opener for me, since I had the impression that many pharmacueticals were repressed in the service of public health, and that if anything, medicines were being repressed that could be of use.
After this book, I'm going to try to be a little more open in my judgements, and try to get a little more info on my biases.
Read the book. Whatever side that you are 'on', you will be shocked. If you consider yourself on neither side, you will be shocked.
Just finished listening to this wonderful, informative and interesting interview!
It gives me comfort that you are willing to speak such truth. Well done!
I enjoyed the interview! Also very interested in the referenced event about freedom of speech in medicine. Will be watching for details!
Great news. I look forward to listening to that later!
Hope RFK Jr. did not forget about you.

One answer, "Fauci".
IMO, of course, but having read "The REAL Anthony Fauci", I think he was the problem. Dissemble as he may....

For our own good, of course /s

Thank you for your impressions of the state of bureaucracy in NS. I believe that you have answered a question that many were interested in.
Thanks Chris, looks like we are on the same page. Appreciate your response.

Equals zero credibility…
